Hey lady's & gents

After a couple of years of leaving my tank just collecting dust with live rocks and sand and a few gallons of water in the tank, I've decided to come back! anyways refilled the tank with RO water, added some more salt, and tested my ammonia and nitrites, both came up at .025 ppm. I guess I killed off my bacteria, but at those low levels do you think my cycle is just towards it end phase for fish or should I just throw in a raw shrimp for safe measure?

Yep. Cycling tanks is frustrating for sure, just started cycling my own new tank. I'm also not the type to try and rush the process. Bare rock, bare sand, feeding the ghosts of fishes past. I feel your pain.

so I threw a raw shrimp to kick start my cycle again, but this time i ordered an ultimate refugium starter pack from aquabarn. It came with like 2 bags of marine pure blocks, turbostart 900 in the 1st shipment. Should I just dump all the marine pure blocks in my refugium and overflows, and with the turbostart 900, should I remove the raw shrimp in the tank? or keep it in there as a food source for the turbostart 900 bacteria to feed on?
