Hi,

I kept a 660l reef saltwater aquarium during some 7/8 years but 10 years ago I quit the hobbie so I believe many things changed.
I read a lot of the automate systems (one thing that maked me quit was the everyday effort spent in keeping water in good condition and as my professional success grow I had less and less time to keep everything in order; today I work 12h/day including saturdays) and automate things like water change, water analysis, adjusting dosing pumps and refill the RO water tank to compensate the water evaporation will be a very important thing to have success in my returning to the hobbie.
I'm planning reef tank with some 800l + sump.
What automate equipments do you recommend to reduce effort to a minimum spented in keeping a succesfull reef tank?

Sorry for my poor english but I'm not english native speaker.

Thank you very much.

Welcome back. I'm currently using a Neptune Apex and find if fairly easy to use (I'm not a very techie person). I only use it to control lights, monitor pH & temperature, and other basic things like that.

My new (used) tank I bought came with a couple Hydros components and I bought more of those based on recommendations from friends. So, when I do my tank upgrade, I'll be switching to Hydros.

What about neptune automate water parameters analyse, like kh, ca, mg, Po and No3? Is this system reliable?
I haven't really heard any negative review other than it can be a bit costly to run over time replacing the reagents. I haven't purchased/used on because (to be honest) I rarely test my water.
