Backup Battery

you would need to calulate the load of the equipment you want to keep running,i do not think that unit will be large enough to last long.

Backup Battery

I use a marine battery as backup for my Tunze Silence return pump. I bought the automatic backup switch for the Tunze. I figure having the return pump working provides enough circulation for temporarily problems. I think supporting a heater would be a more significant challenge.

The heaters should have it on the side. For other equipment you would need the documentation probably.

I run an APC unit that supports DC return pump, heater and power head. last about 30 mins. No casualties yet and setup for two years.

One of the most useful items is a Penn-plax unit that cuts ON in a power failure, is run on replaceable batteries, and can keep your tank aerated sufficiently to keep it alive so long as your batteries hold. Most tanks can go 8 hours without significant problems.
