Troy-Bilt 5000w Portable Generator - $400 (Wesley Chapel)

Bought in 2008, used once for a 2hr power outage. Ran my AC and my pumps just fine.
I've since installed a whole house auto-failover genset, so this is my backup for my backup. I run it monthly and have always kept a double dose of Stabil fuel stabilizer in it. I replaced the starter battery last week. It comes with the original owner's manual. It has an onboard trickle battery charger to keep it ready for use. Includes the charger power cord.
Also includes a 110v heavy-duty pigtail, never used. Always garage kept. Never sat out in the weather or the sun. All decals and paint are in like-new condition. Tires are in excellent shape. Starts right up on half-choke with electric PowerStart Alternator starter. Iluminated control pnnel and protective rubber outlet covers make it ideal for outdoor use in inclement weather.
PM if you're interested in seeing it in action.
Free frag of your choice from my display tank. Nearly 100% SPS. I'm a generous fragger.

I've since installed a whole house auto-failover genset, so this is my backup for my backup.

I am curious what did you use for your whole house backup? How much if you don't mind posting and what is it rated for?

I had a Generac 5506 installed. It's a 20kw auto standby unit with auto failover and auto load-shedding. It runs on LP or NG. it was just shy of $10k for the whole package, installed, when i had it put in at the end of '08. We use it several times a year, and it has saved my reef at least 3 times so far.

Troy-Bilt generator still available. Price reduced to $350.

$350 too steep?

Not bad. If I was selling that, I would wait until closer to hurricane season.

I've had a portable dishwasher for sale for $75 for about a month with no bites. From my days as a bread vendor, this time of year is just slow for sales. I think people just tend to be outside taking care of the house this time of year.
