Bacterial Bloom

I have a slight haze in my 90 gallon i believe is due to overfeeding. Recently bought a baby hippo tank so ive been making sure hes been getting enuf to avoid serious ich. The tank is new but was seeded with 30 lbs of live rock from old tank, 10 gallons of water from old tank and 80 lbs of live sand. Since than i have also added arounf 50 lbs of new live rock that was being cycled at my lfs. All fish are great and eating just wondering how long this will last. Been about a week and a half now, i just learned i should cut back on the amount of food im putting in the tank to help it dissapate. How long after i cut back feeding would i see the haziness clear up?

Thanks

It is unusual for a bacterial bloom to last more than a few days. a nutrient/carbon source of some sort is feeding this bloom.cutting back on the feeding is just the first step. give attention to your nutrient control via skimming and/or algae removal. a algae bloom may very well be the next thing you see in your tank. consider a phosban reactor with gfo. a properly sized u/v light will help greatly with bacterial blooms and in controlling ich, as will keeping nutrients very low.

What are you feeding?
What do you feed them and scedule and amount?
More important then amount you feed is the water flow you have to keep it from settling.
Whats used for water flow?
Tanks age?

have you done a water change yet--suggest 30 per cent immediately

The haze is real slight, im not sure if im ready for a 30% water change just yet. I already have a phosban 150 reactor with some phosphate media running. I also use a euroreef rs135 skimmer which continues to skim very well. I have 2 tunze nano streams (6025 & 6045) and my return pump from sump as circulation. Im turning tank volume over around 25 times an hour. I have been feeding *rods frozen food*, for about 5-6 days i was feeding twice a day, once b4 work and once after..since ive cut it to one time a day. I also throw some tiny pellet food in there when i feed the frozen. In the 5 tanks ive had ive never had a bacterial bloom so im thrown off by this. Im pretty sure i fed to much but is there perhaps anything else in the tank this could have happened due to?
