I came home lastnight to find my blenny hanging out in my 6100 which told me it wasnt workin. The puck (transformer was hot as can be. I swapped the transformer to my other 6100 and it worked fine but when I swapped the 6100 and the 7240 to the other puck the 6100 wouldnt turn on. Not sure if you understand that but... i have a 6100 and a 7240 that need repair the transformer works fine still. Can you tell me how much it would cost to repair and where I would have to send it.

Hello Chad, sound like your puck (transformer went bad). The 6100 transformer cost $75 +/-. You don't have to send the pump in to get repair just go to Tunze.com and order the transformer.

The driver is bad, the 7240.270, this causes an overload and the transformer gets hot. The 7240.270 cannot be repaired, you can order a replacement on Tunze.com.

can i attatch my pump to the new driver myself? I havent taken the old driver apart to see if it just plugs in or not.

The pump just plugs in to the driver inside the box, it is a 6 pin molex connector.
