Bad carbonate/alk test?

has anyone had a salifert carbonate/alk test go bad? I don't know, but i bought it just a couple of weeks ago at GWA. the kh turned from intense red to a pale red. i don't want to use the results because of accuracy. any ideas?

There is a bad batch out there that actually test low. However, the RC search function is still "jacked up" so I've had trouble looking up the batch number.
