Hi everybody...

this is my first tread on this forum.....

I would like to know your opinion concerning a problem on my tank.

I have a reef tank (300lt, 2x250W HQI+ 2 T5 54W) with SPS but I have some problems with blue, liaght and violet, cyan and now also with some green colors.
The corals are not with highlight colors, but the main color is the brown. I have a Montipora Digitata light blue that have brown body and the only the polips are light blue....

The water parameters are:
Kh 6
Ca 400
Mg 1230
NO2 0
PO4 0,01
Density 1025

In your opinion, which problem should be occured?

Many thanks in advance

You don't describe the rest of your set up.Do you have a refugium?Do you employ papone or zeovit method?how often do you clean the front glass of your tank?Do you see hair algae?

I have:

55kg of life rocks
Skimmer ATI BM 200
Koralia wavemaker with 4 koralya 4 electronic
Calcium reactor KORALLIN 1501

I use zeovit method but I suppressed any additives since 1 month (I still using only base elements zeoback, zeofood and zeostart). I suppressed also corals food and integrations like strontium, iodine and trace elements. I change 25lt of water avery 15days and I use Korallen-zucht salt.

I clean the glass every 2 days and I have seen that there is a light brown "powder" (similar to diatoms). There are no algaes or cyanobacters

your alk is low you should be minumum 8dkh

what lighting
Even with a risk of burning the sps tips? What is a good level for ULNS systems? I've always read that lower KH, not sure about six though, was okay for low nutrient ssytems (granted I have no experience in this area) Running biopellets I was under the impression I was to keep a lower KH at around 7 or 6.

7 KH would be the absolute minimum to run at. 6KH will give you problems.
