Bad experience (Pump)

I have purchased a new 2100 ampmaster in April from Marine Depot. I just got all the plumbing done (two kids) and fired up the pump. This is day three running just freshwater and the pump is leaking from where the thing is spinning (technical term).

Anyway I called Marine Depot and they said there is nothing they can do for me (Very Poor Customer Service I think). Sold me a defective product and won't reconcile.

They said call Dolphin to replace the seals? Should I have to replace seals after 3 days?

I'm a bit concerned that after day three its defective?

Did anyone else have this problem?

Thanks

Hi,

Certain manufacturers have set guide lines in which their products are to be handled. We do try and work with our customer the best we can, but we do still have to follow the procedures set forth by the specific manufacturer.

With these pumps, Dolphin have requested that the customers contact them directly for warranty service. We are not authorized to swap out pumps without Dolphins approval. Dolphin is a great company to work with and I am sure that you will find them to be very helpful and very reasonable.

If the pump needs to be sent back to Dolphin for service, let us know and we will be happy to send you a UPS shipping label and take care of those shipping charges.

Sincerely,
Joseph

Thanks guys. I will let you know

Just frustration on my part. I finally got all the plumbing right with no leaks and then this happens.
