I have been trying to add a FoxFace to help deal with a byrosis and GHA problem. I am slowly winning the battle but having an avid algae eater will go a long way to eliminating it. Unfortunately I am now 0-2 when adding FoxFace's.
Is there anything that I am missing when adding these fish as everything i have read is that they are easy to keep.
My tank is a 150g 72x24x20 Current fish list.
Pair of clowns
Royal Gamma
2 Chromis
Purple Square Anthias
Powder Blue Tang
The first one I added was a medium 1 spot who never came out of hiding or camo colors ate a little bit here and their but passed away after a couple of days. He was added before the PBT and the Athias and was by far the biggest fish in the tank at the time so it shouldn't have been a matter of aggression.
The most recent addition was a small Foxface Lo and was added after the above fish. He was a little bit skinny and a weak swimmer but was eating very well on both LRS food and Alage for a couple of days then was mysteriously dead within a week. I never witnessed any aggression from the other fish and always was full yellow coloration.
Any ideas? Would I be better off trying a different Rabbitfish next time?
