Bad PH port?

ebius

Yup!
So i got a second PH probe for christmas. I just now have the time to get it setup and am having problems. I have the ORP disabled and both PH's enabled. The problem I am having is that only the PH2 port is reporting any type of change. No matter what I do, the probe plugged into PH1 reads 11.8. I have verified it is not the probe as they will both function properly when plugged into the PH2/ORP port. Is it possible this port is just bad? Anybody have any udea of things I can look at to try to fix this or see what is going on?

It is possible but not likely.

You can get bogus readings if the calibration is significantly off.

Which controller are you using?

Also, when i tried calibrating either probe in that port the reading for both solutions reads 1273 and then I get "Calibration failed, restoring defaults"

Have you tried wiggling the BNC connecter where it connects to the base module? A reading of 12 almost always means it can't see the probe - like its disconnected or totally bad. You've proven the probe isn't bad so it could be your base module but I've seen before where a little pressure to one side or the other and it starts reading. Just press and give it a couple seconds before you move again.
