bad seller

well i figure i'll ask u guys before i post it on buyey/seller feedback.it all started last month when i sent a seller on r/c a money order for a dolphin pump and still havent received it.the last i got a pm from him was on 09/05 and havent heard from him since.i pmed him various time still to no response.what should i do.should i give it more time or post it on the sellers feedback.

he said.i received the money order and i'll be sending the pump to u first of the week.and that was two weeks ago.

Tough call. Has he been online since then. If you have one of the messages that you sent him still in message tracking, it should say the last time he was online. If he has been online since then, then i would definatly post in the feedback forum. If he hasn't been online, maybe something has happened to him or a family member and he is tied up. Also go and check his posts to see if he has other things for sale. If so, then i would post a thread to maybe save someone else from the same problem.

i was thinking the same thing DUGG.people do have other lives beside reefing.im just a little bit scared because i begged my wife to let me buy this pump.btw he hasn't been on line since the last pm and i tracked the pm's and they're still unread.

btw my wife's gonna kill me if i don't receive this pump...she's 8 months pregnant and very hormonal.

LOL, i know the feeling just wait till menopause it makes pregnant look like a ride at kiddy land. Like i said it's a tough call. I bought an item on Ebay once, and just as the auction ended, i got a phone call that my best friend had been in a bad accident. I dropped everything right there and left. I didn't see my computer again to complete the sale for over a week. Needless to say the seller wasn't happy but what ya gonna do? Unless he's a regular seller or something, bad feedback isn't going to do any good anyway.

Mike Alers sorry to hear your situation.

i dont know if with the money order if thier is anything you can do.. thats the main reason i use paypal.

i know sometimes they add the 3% but i think you can dispute it easier...

again im really sorry for the situation. lets hope its just a family thing and he reads the pms in a few days.

Can you contact reefcentral? Do they have any methods to get ahold of him? They do have forums that allow selling, so maybe there is some info that they could give you... Good luck.

Did he request that you send a money order instead of Paypal? If so, that's definitely a red flag. How long has he been a member of RC?
