I have this type of setup under my 150 gallon tank, again I run a 1700 GPH pump. I had a bubble problem until the macro algea took off. A friend of mine is running the same thing under his 125 gallon tank with a 1300 GPH pump with no bubble problem. These things do not have to be difficult.
My 150 G tank drinks 2 gallons a day, with fans on an open canopy. Another friends tank with this type of refigium uses 1 gallon a day in a 50 gallon square tank with fans on the refigium. He is moving 750 gph. His refigium holds 30 gallons
