Baffles in Sump

i have read that people use both glass and acrylic. Heard that acrylic is stronger but can stretch and crack the tank. What is everyone's opinion?

i put acrylic in mine...ive had it running for 2 months now...no problemo...one thing i did tho and it wasnt intentional was to cut the baffles so that they dont fit perfectly...i had to use silicone to compensate for the 2 mm gaps i had on both sides of the walls...so even if they do expand i guess they have room.


if you do do acrylic DONT use the thin stuff...i did and it bows badly

the thicker stuff is MUCH better
