Bait fish in new tank?

I have a tank that has been cycling for about a week. I live by the beach in Delaware. I am wondering if I can put a live baitfish or 2 in the tank for a few weeks. I was thinking silver sides or kellys.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

The thought is if you put them in there without quarantining them you could introduce a pathogen into your system that would remain in there and further infected future added fish

Plus, they're just not set up for the temps in a tropical tank. Hard for the fish, bad for the tank. I think the idea of letting something pollute your tank to increase the speed of cycling is an idea that's time has come and gone. Just let it proceed slowly with live rock and testing of the parameters.

Why do you want to put baitfish in your tank for a couple of weeks? I'm just trying to figure out why you would want to do that when the baitfish are local and you can get them anytime
