Baking Soda??

Does anyway else use baking soda to raise there Reefs PH?? I wanted to know if its effective and how long have you been doing it?? Thanks...

Not for raising PH primarily. Many use it primarily for raising alkalinity, although somewhat raising PH can be a side affect depending upon whether you bake it first.

i use baked baking soda in a set up with a cal reactor and lots of stoneys.it helps stabilize the low ph from reactor.non baked will not raise ph imediately, baked will

Yes, baking the baking soda removes the Co2, making it quicker to buffer the tank ph

i put mine in a pan and bake it for like 25-30 min on 350 ..

let it cool and put icing on it and your in for a nice treat..
