Ballast buzzing

I have a workhorse ballast that I run 2 54w T5's on and it recently started buzzing. It stops once I touch the ballast so I can't figure out what's wrong. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Something on it is loose. It may very well be just the outer housing, but that noise that your hearing is a vibration. The ballast will always slightly vibrate, but when something is loose, it will be amplified. Try getting some tape on it or a zip-tie around it

What do you mean?

Ground connection must be bad, absent or failing. The ground is the third wire, usually green, or green / yellow that connects from the metal body of an electric device to the middle blade of your plug. Make sure your outlet has it, as well as the ballast, if equipped with ground protection.

Can save your life if your tank is dripping on it, as the juice will most likely go into the ground than in your fried body.. :P
