Ballast/Lighting Question

If you were to mix and match ballasts would you get two very different lighting effects? Would the difference be noticable?

Say I used a magnetic hamilton ballast and an icecap electronic ballast.

Also, What if I used two different bulb types? One SE and one DE. Noticable difference?

Go to Sanjay's and go to the 2 lamp comparison. Then plug in the bulb/ballast combinations and it will show you the ccrt (color) and the par.

I have had Hamilton Magnetic, IceCap Electronic, and BlueWave Magnetic. Out of those three I have seen different effects on Hamilton 14k DE bulbs.
