ballast voltage

I have a 175w dual output electronic ballast (don't know the brand) Can someone give me a general idea how much output voltage I should be getting with 110v in. I'm asking because my bulbs won't light and I want to make sure it's the bulbs before I order new.
Thanks

Unfortunately electronic metal halide ballasts are difficult to troubleshoot. The best method for an end user is to use a known working lamp of the right type and wattage. If the lamp fails to light the ballast has failed.

Most electronic ballasts provide a very high pulse voltage which will damage most volt/multi meters. Meters should not be used to measure the ballast output of an electronic ballast. Some ballasts will even shut down if no lamp is detected for safety.

Damn.......Ok well I've ordered new bulbs so I hope it is just coincidence that both burnt out at the same time. Thanks for your help.
