banded shark egg

I am currently researching and continuing my research.

LFS has gotten a banded shark egg in and l am considering it. Before l bring it home here is my plan. Egg to be brought home and placed either in a 20l or 40b hatch tank/QT. This will be its home till eating and a small amount of growth. Then it could be moved into a 55. This allows a bit more length, though not a bunch of turning room. Final destination would be a 400 gallon tank l am working on now. That tank is 82" long 38" wide and 28" tall.

I would like to add some other bottom dwellers such as inimicus, diabolis, rhinopias. Then l would like to have a few lions to fill out the upper swimming room.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Over all, the tank will be too small at the end. Brown banded bamboo sharks get 4' or bigger. I've got one people try to tell me is a small nurse shark.

If this is your first shark, I'd suggest getting one that is hatched at eating. Getting them started isn't something that is very easy to do.
