hey john, i used all established rock and NSW and live sand so i didn't have a cycle because i have to move it over within 2 months due to putting a new heating system is. not really my choice unfortunately. i am sure everything will go fine though. thanks.

Never be so sure Matt... regardless of what is used, there are always adjustment periods with new systems, and you do not want to use fish like your hybrid as the guinea pig, despite the hybrid vigor it may have... anyway, that's enough 'jacking of this thread on that! :)

Where are you getting your bandits from? How are so sure of the sex of the fish? To my knowledge almost all bandits are needled and its perfectly fine as long as its done properley. T

My uncle ordered them for me. I was told that they are hermaphrodite; but within a group of 3 or more there is alway one that will become/act like a male. Is this true?

Regardless, since they are egg scatterer - I don't think it really matter :D

Will get some pix tomorrow; stay tune ;)

If they are the same fish I was emailed about, these bandits were not needled, they were brought up over the course of like 6 hours. The guy who got them said he has the sunburn to prove it ;)

Went to pickup the fish from Fedex on Friday. The agent asked me to follow him to the back, he want me to check the box before I sign for them. That was kinda weir

I almost starting to cry; when I saw the boxes

The bags that contain 2 flame wrasse were all dryed up. But all four of the Bandit's bags are in good shape.

They are chilling in my QT with a baby YT

Currently, they are nippling on mysis. Question: They don't attack the food like the yellow tang; they just look at it for a while then eat it. Is that how they are?

Beside Mysis; what food should I use/try? TIA

That's a good sign if they are nibbling. Good luck.

Thanks. But, if it is between the Bandit and the Wrasse - I am glad the Bandit make it. The two flame wrasse were beautiful; just too bad :(

looks great! and sorry to hear about your wrasses.

I find that Bandits usually eat within 2-3 days. I mix frozen Mysis, Emerald Entree, Marine Cuisine and leave a piece of nori tied to a piece of rock. After they start eating frozen try feeding NLS pellets (the small 1mm size) couple of times a day.

Good luck with them.

Thanks for the advice :D
