Bangai Cardinal with an identity issue?

I will often find him wallowing in the polyps much as an anemone fish would.

The heliofungia doesn't seem to be concerned with extra attention, although George and Gracie, the clowns, are often confused and will swim out of their hammer to stare at "Jack" with a perplexed look on their little faces.

Could he have picked up this behaviour from the clowns or would this be considered normal?

bangaii cardinals associate with long spine urchins hiding among their spines. This could have something to do with it. It probably makes the fish feel safe. just my guess.

Is it the only one you have ??.. they do much better in groups of three or more at least that what I have been told but again I could be wrong.... Sean

groups of bangaii cardinals will pair off and the males will fight. I dont think there is anything wrong with your cardinal, but it would be nice if it had a mate. then you could send me some babies. they are mouth brooders and reportedly one of the easier marine fish to tank raise.
