So we got back to town tonight and I had a nice surprise awaiting me in my seahorse tank.

I am not sure when they were released. Sometime over the last 5 days. I only have counted 4-5, but I have a lot of Caulerpa in the tank. Both my Seahorses and Mandarins in the tank looked a little fat. So, they may have eaten a few.

The baby Bangaii are about 1/4" - 3/8". I am not sure if I should try to remove them to one of my QT's or just let them be. At some point in the future, I will definitely move the 2 adults to their own tank.

I am planning on picking up some rotifers for them tomorrow.

Nice! I would let the parents be and if you wanted to grow out the babies then just transfer them to another system. Congrats!

Thanks guys!

I moved the adult Bangaii's and 4 babies into one of my 75 gallon QT's. My reasoning was two-fold. The Seahorses have been going after the babies thinking they are brine or mysis shrimp. Mainly though, twice my seahorses have released babies into the tank that my pair of Mandarin's, Bangaii and a McCosker's wrasse end up eating for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I am going to bring home a fish trap from Fishy Bizness this afternoon and will try to catch the Mandarin's and McCosker. Hopefully I will also find a few more Bangaii babies.
