Bangaii questions

So if I had 2 males, one most certainly would kill the other, correct?
If I had 2 females would they get along or would one suffer the same fate as with males?
What if the 2 males were offspring born at the same time, tank, would one still kill the other if they have been together since the beginning?

Mine are a good year old now and they do not hang out together but have their own side of the tank. They have grown very large as well.
Sometimes one flinches at the other but there hasn't been attacking.

Two will usually get along, nothing to compete for.

I'm curious to hear answers too. About 2 months ago I purchased 2 wild caught adult bangaiis. None in the tank seemed to be pairing up in the store so I tried to choose 2 based on the jawline. I really don't know if I got a pair. They don't fight and they do stay near each other most of the time but no spawning yet. Is it possible I have 2 females?
