Banggai Cardinal

I have 3 of them in my 75 gal. They hang tight with each other and have never atttempted to bother anything.

My experience is peaceful great fish. Being over collected and a big topic of discussion at current MACNA.
Please, only buy captively propagated ones. More expensive, but right thing to do.

Peaceful towards other fish, but 2 males together will try to kill each other when they become sexually mature. Unless you have a sufficiently sized tank >200g.

The female can also become aggressive to tank mates when the male is holding eggs.

They are generally very peaceful, but, as mentioned above, same sexes may attack each other.
I've also found females to be a little more aggressive when the males are carrying eggs.

Generally,
M/F and will co-exist, and typically spawn/breed.
F/F will co-exist peacefully.
M/M will fight til 1 or both are dead.
*Other combination are possible, but highly unrecommended.

They are generally peaceful to other tank mates, but will not be pushed around and will fight back if provoked. Females more so when the male has eggs. They don't seem to stake a territory like some other fish.
