Banggai Cardinalfish

I have had a banggai cardinal fish for about 2 months and it's living perfectly fine. I recently added another one hoping to create a mated pair, but this is not the case. After 2 days the new cardinal fish no longer has any fins , but the new one doesn't seem to be picking at it. My damsel picked at it for a little while but no longer does. How do I know for sure whether they are the opposite sex or not?

if one banggai gets ousted he/she needs to be removed. I suspect you have 2 of the same sex...most likely males. I guarentee the 1st banggai picked its fins off, pretty common.
The damsel is just jumping on a wounded fish
You have to rescue this beatup fish and get it back to health. So remove it to your quarentine tank

How can you tell thier gender? A diagram would be awesome if you happen to have one
