I was playing with photoshop this afternoon and came up with this. This is only the first touch and I can always redo the whole concept.

It should be reef themed. I do like the little man however.

How about something like this:

I could sit on a shirt back or front, centered, and minimalistic... or as a stripe down an arm of a sweater (which is way cool these days)

A submission should be in vector format, should take into account the club mission statement (BAR seeks to promote, foster and encourage education and appreciation for the ethical husbandry and propagation of marine life), should NOT have a clownfish , and should be easily reproducible for either a business card, a shirt, or a large sign. Edit: There should also be a color and a b/w version.

hmm, well if I can get a hold of a coral picture... i could put that there instead =/

vectorizing this would be easy once needed.

once vectorized I can stick it into business cards, logos, stickers, car decals, mugs, caps, thongs, you name it

black and white, can be done =)

ah, I'll try to get the tip of an Acro... or maybe I"ll use ILlustrator and draw a hand holding a small plastic tupperware to a grasping in thanking pair of hands. haha.

it's a competition? doh! I must go read that thread more carefully.

well just trying to help us get a nice logo out there.

I'll work with Illustrator tomorrow to draw a fish bowl with a acro branch in it. Maybe that willl adhere to the "husbandry" and "propagation". =)


btw: I read Gresham's post about needing to have clown fish in it!! THAT'S WHY! I blame it on gresham

I'd be more then willing to take the blame, if it were the truth. To my credit, I said

Oh this is a competition? I thought it's just a donation or doing something good for the club.

With these nice and simple designs posted, there should not be any price involve because we are all BARS and they're so easy to make.

Prize is an incentive for all the creative folks to participate, and it's a way for BAR to give back to its members as well as support its sponsors!

Of course, that's in addition to doing something great for the club and getting to see your mad skilz plastered all over the place!

If I get an extra time I'll be posting my bar fish logo also. So I guess it's fine to use the old black and white nemo from the old logo.

I will give it a shot.
