Does anyone have any pictures of bare bottom zoa gardens, whats your thoughts on them. I just emptied my tank and am starting completely over and im seriously considering a bare bottom tank but I definitely want a zoa garden.

I have a unique bare bottom system with a good number of zoas in it, my pic thread can be found in this forum... Check the next few pages, it should be there...

hey thanks I have a 90 gallon tank and for flow I have a mag 9 return pump, a hydor k 1050, 1400, and a 750 for flow my tank isn't drilled tho. I also have a SWC skimmer. Do you think I can make it work. the only thing I don't like is having to use star board.

Sounds fine... What's important is water quality and stability combined with good lighting, which I feel is secondary to water quality... And by no means do you have to use starboard...

Lights im a bit worried about but an upgrade is not on the table for 6 months at least, I have a t5 54x4 light with all brand new geisman bulbs, just upgraded them from the stock bulbs

What kind of fixture do you have? I've got pretty much the exact set up with PH but with a overflow and I just bought a used current 6 bulb t-5 with ati bulbs and so far the corals and everything are looking so much better than the 4 bulb VHO set up I had.

Its a coaral life fixture with lunar lights, Im actually happy with it especially after changing the bulbs. and fed ex just delivered my new marcorock rock order.
