Need some advise on fish for 40 breeder

So I am itching to get back into the hobby. I had 60 gallon mixed reef tank about 5 years ago. i want to try a simple 40 breeder zoa garden with hang on back filter and hang on refugium with no skimmer. I want to stock it with a Midas blenny, diamond spotted gobie, mandarin gobie, hawk fish and some peppermint shrimp. Would that be too high of a bioload for a zoa garden?

Sounds like a plan. Just remember, nothing good happens fast in this hobby

Bio load should be fine. Only issue is the hawk may go after your shrimp

Sounds like a fine plan, but I'd skip owning a mandarin goby altogether with a tank that size with that many competitors for food.
