Bare bottom or not?

I'm about to set up a 105g 48 x 18 x 30 and I'm going to using two MP40w vortechs. My question is with using that much flow for this set up should I go bare bottom or could I use sand, which I perfer.

just scale the flow back a little bit. The whole reason behind them being controllable is so you can adjust the flow to fit your needs.

Just play with the flow, you should be able to have sand in there if you want it. Sometimes it will blow around a bit at first, but once it gets a bio-coat it will lay down.

You should go bare bottom anyway.

Just playing. Dial them back if you need to -- but you may not need to at all. The flow is very wide and quite gentile for the output.
