Barnacle's on acro

I picked up a couple surabuya acro's today and two of them have barnacles on the coral. One only has one or two but the other has quite a number of them (30-50?) all over. It looks as though the coral has grown over the barnacle except for the mouth as the colors match perfectly, although they could just be very good at camouflaging themselves. Both corals seem to be very healthy still and are showing great color and polyp extension. From searching I have only found a few people discuss this, some said it's safe to leave them some said to get rid of them. So, which one is it? If I get rid of them, what is the best way? They aren't affected by TMPCC dips.

Leave them alone, they might even be bringing goodies into the acro. The coral must have been wild caught, IME they tend to die off after a long period of time.

Good to hear - there isn't much info on them so I didn't really know what to think. Will they tend to spread to other acro's or typically just stay on the one they are on?

I've got them in a tort and another unknown acro, along with three large bright white ones in a galaxia. They seem to not harm the coral...kind of like xmas tree worms in porites I think...
