barnacles

seems to be growing EVERYWHERE UGH!! even on some parts of my hydnophora...


do they do any good for the tank? i mean i never see anything extend out, but they're very small and everywhere.
 
very small white? they were all over my black background...i just rubbed em' off... dont know it thats exactly what they were tho :confused:
 
u can see 1 right dead center, then 3 more (more camoflauged) on the upper left.

Not sure what they are, but they don't look like barnacles to me....but they do look happy to see you:D ;)
 
i have those also, they are not barnacles. They are little critters and they spit out gew and catch mysis and other food. they are harmless.

I believe they are snails (forget the name). I have them all over as well. I heard if you have one adult in the tank you will soon have many more. Well, I have many more and aside from the 'web' being spewed out and sucked back in, they are harmless. I'm not sure what predators they have, but I wouldn't worry too much.
