Bartlett's Anthias

A couple of months ago, I put a group of 6 Bartlett's in my 110 reef tank. Recently, I've noticed that 4 of them are males. I thought only the dominant one would turn male. Apparently, I was wrong. Does anyone have any experience with this? Will the males eventually pick each other off until only one is left, or will they work it out amongst themselves? They seem to be getting along okay.

I had a male and 6 females in my 125 and for a couple months all was fine. Then a couple females turned male and now I had 3 males and 4 females. That was about 2 months ago. So far, they all get along just fine. The only time I notice any agression is during feeding. Other than that, they seem very content.

Is there a way to keep them from changing somehow?

Not that I know of. As with any reef fish, you always take a chance on its particular behavior.

I'd try a continous loop of Oprah.

Seriously though, I've had a few turn male on me and it never seemed to present any problems. Strangely, I've never heard of this happening with any other kind Anthias.

Try the View, that ought to make them change back even

Seriously, this type of thread has come up a few times here specifically about Bartlett's. No problems seem to come of it. And hey, the males are prettier anyways, so I'd be happy :)
