Hello, I have ordered from Live Aquara a lot and the quality is great! The thing is, the bartletts anthias (I ordered 3) were in good shape when I acclimated them and they were all eating well, and still do. The thing is, I was shipped 3 males. Over time, the 1 male bullied the 2 others, now he is the friendly one, comes near me at the glass, while another 1 doesn't bother the now friendly one, but picks on the third one a lot. He still eats when he can, the one that is being bullied, I have to try and target feed him through rock holes. You can definately tell the difference between the more healthy ones to him from the other male. For one, he has no tail, he has brown spots on his body (not ich), and seems to be getting smaller or weaker, which is why I target feed him now. I tried to get him out using a net, but anthias are just too fast and that particular one stays behind the rocks, if the bully male even notices him peeking in the rocks, he will dash at him and chase him back to the back of the tank, during this time I am sure he bites some more off his tail everytime. There is no way of getting a hold of those anthias with nets, the injured or the healthy, even at lights out. The rocks are epoxied together also, and too much to move around anyways. A fish trap wouldn't work because for one, the injured anthias wouldn't dare come out of the rocks to go in it.
They are 1 week past the warranty now, I was told by an employee at Drs. Foster and Smith to call and tell about this because it wasn't right that I was shipped 3 males. Also, that it wasn't right to have been shipped 3 males and it was possibly a mistake from Live Aquaria.
I don't think I should be paying for the one male even after warranty since there were 3 males bagged up, maybe I am wrong, but from what I know 3 male anthias aren't suppose to go together unless in large systems.
Maybe I am over exagerating, but I don't think he could make it much longer. How long can you make it while the bully gets stronger and the other gets weaker because of target feeding reasons?
