Would it be ok to put a mintis in a tank with about 8lbs of base rock and about 2lbs or lr? Its a 10g tank.
The base rock its white and has no algae on it. Could i establish it while keeping the mantis? Rock isnt established yet since im waiting to get lighting.
You should not add your mantis until your tank is cycled.
Yeah, I know they survive as hitchhikers on live rock that shipped. But I would not recommend taking the chance with an animal that you are specifically getting to keep as a pet.
