I thought you were exaggerating......you're actually putting in a large scale aquarium in the Murf?

In his house :)

I am still looking for rock by the ton I also may have a lead on some cheaper Tonga branch that I am looking into. I will be getting a few more tons soon as the work on the tanks are getting close as in I just grabbed 4 hammer heads while I was in CO for Christmas. And got the material for the liner this last weekend.

I would be willing to buy a little of that for my 90. I still need about 80 lbs or so. Let me know.

Cloud not wanting to hijack this thread if you want I could start a new one?

Ok I am looking at a couple of opinions one of the options for the rock is to buy a ton or so of Base rock and some Tonga branch rock. I also may be able to get some others I have gotten an estimated price of the rock at $1.25 a lb for base and $3.75 for Tonga branch. At that price what interest is there for this rock?

Wanesworld, thats cool continue in this thread. Also i would love to see this tank when you get it done, Im in smyrna all the time. If you need some help just let me know i would be glad to assit on something this large. My vote is on base rock since im gonna need about 400# of the stuff, but im cheep. :)

I would be interested in the tonga, since 60 lbs of my rock is base already. And yea, I would help with the setup of your large tank for the learning experience myself.

So when you get in the Tons of rock are you going to be willing to part with any of it?

Yup. It's got to go. There is one piece that is likely 10 pounds, and then some smaller pieces...

To many crowns and coke Gary :)

FWIW I have over 300 lbs in my tank and bet I have barley have $800 in it. I grabbed every rock deal up for 6-8 months knowing I was going into a big tank. 100lbs once 50 once a little hear and there added up nice. I also did a ton of homemade cement rock a long time ago and it came in real handy to use as base. I went from the glass up and had to burry a ton of rock under sand to be sure it was stable and whay bette rto use than cement rock? It was real easy to do and kinda fun. I still use small peices of it all the time for fraggs of zoas and stuff that covers it fast but some shapes were real nice IMO. Just a thought.

Doh.. Quoted the wrong question... No crown and coke tonight. I'm just tired and gouchy;)(2:30 night last night and another late one tonight...).

Try having a baby wake you up 2x a night this week when you fall into bed at 1-2ish. Gotta love cold season. :(
Early night tonight. My last post! Sorry for the off topic hijack! :)

Look into making some base seriously!

alright cloud. I sent you a pm with my cell. I'm going to be over in smyrna today and tomorrow if you want to meet somewhere. By "next weekend" do you mean the swap, or the following weekend?
