Base up STN??

Hey guys,

just wondering your experience with slow base up recession is?? In the past I have add tip recession from unstable alk that has healed over but this base STN is very slow but doesn't seem to be stopping. I almost positive it was caused by nutrient buildup but I've done some large water changes and things look better. How ever one acro does not seem to stopping. It is really slowed and is quite small still but what are the chances if I leave it that it will heal over. I would just hate to frag this guy.

My nitrates show 0 and I'm not sure about phosphates but I'm running Rowa in a reactor.

I also wanted to add that I had an RTN event on a coral and lost it in a day. Could my other coral have RTN which I've slowed by water changes and carbon?? Is RTN infectous?? Should I do a lugols dip on the corals??

Im at a loss...I dont know know about RTN.
