Basement drain pump - Liberty Pumps

Hey All,

When I installed my basement sump 3 years ago I installed a utility sink with a drain pump because the sink was below the sewer line. I used a Liberty Pumps 1/3 HP pump and it has been working great so far. When I first posted about this, others on the board said they had the same pump. My question to those of you that do have that (or similar) pumps is: Do you ever do any maintenance on the pump like cleaning it out or anything else?

Those pumps are zero maint the best biggest problem people have with them is from not being used. so if you use it they are good. liberty is a great company and they are based out of batavia. they also make a great water powered back up sump pump too

no way someone is actually still making somthing here in the USA.where did you get your pump dave?

I ordered it online from somewhere. I will have to check my records. It was the cheapest place I could find and the service was great. I will let you know.

Yes, but you need fly to Japan to pick it up.

Actually ferguson supply and basically any real plumbing supply store will have liberty pumps

since that thread I've done nuthin to my Liberty 403 drain pump. If someone finds out I should open it up and clean it please LMK.
