Basic Plumbing Question

I am getting ready to plumb my 280g tank and wanted to get thoughts on plumbing.

I have an overflow on opposite sides of the tank with holes already drilled.

I have the following in each overflow:

(2) 3/4" Bulkheads

(1) 1.5" Bulkhead

Should I use all (4) 3/4" Bulkheads for my return line from the center return compartment of the sump or to keep it 'cleaner' looking, use the 1.5" Bulkheads for the returns and just T them into my Jebao DC12000?

I say cleaner looking because I would have a lot less junctions with the 1.5" lines and I'd just use 45 degree elbows to slope the 3/4" drains into the side compartments of the sump for drainage.

Please and thank you for the advice!

Putting aside what looks nice...

You should use the 1.5" to drain water from the tank to your sump. (drains)

The .75" would be attached to your pump to return water to the tank from the sump. (returns)

The .75" will never work as a drain (even with 4) for a tank your size IMO.

Do not drain with smaller pipes than your returns.

I personally think you should cap off those (4) 3/4'' returns and just bring the output of the pump through the back of the tank and over the top and split the end with a T so you get flow to both sides of the tank (That is if you bring the return pipe through the middle of the tank)
