Hi Roger, in the UK i can get a 110aH "Leisure Battery" which is a sealed lead acid battery for about £80 - for the same price I can get a 40aH Gel battery used for golf buggies etc - can you advise which is more suitable for battery backup of Tunze pumps? I have the safety connector of course too, regards, Andy

Hi Andy, both types of battery would work, but it seems the Lesiure Battery is more cost effective.
Gel batteries are generally recommended for use in vehicles because they have a higher safety factor if tipped over. That shouldn't be a concern here.
