Bayer dip or iodine for Sympodium?

Hi guys,

I picked up a nice rock with a half-dozen sympodium colonies on it. It's floating in my tank right now, but I don't have any Revive on hand. Can this coral make it through a Bayer dip? I have iodine as well, but I'd prefer to use the Bayer as long as it doesn't turn the coral into lottle blue blobs of goo! Thanks!

Well in case anyone in the future asks this question.....yes, Sympodium does tolerate a Bayer dip reasonably well. :D I used about 8ccs in 4 cups of saltwater for 15 minutes, blasting it periodically with a baster, then a rinse tub and a final rinse tub. Got rid of a whole bunch of mini stars and bristle worms, but nothing truly harmful. The coral perked up a few hours after it was introduced into the DT.
