BeAn's Silent overflow design

Could I adapt bean animals design of the perfect overflow drain to work without the overflow box? Just the three drains. I realize that I would still need the elbows turned up and down respectivly, and if the sump could handle the 2-3 inches of DT water in the event of a power outage I think it could still work. Right or wrong? Bean I hope you comment on this for two reasons I respect the idea alot that's why I what to copy it, and two b/c I can't pm you to get your input directly. I tried to read as much as I could on the DIY thread but 80 pages of text is alot to hope you find the answer to a piticular situation. Thanks in advance to everybody.
