Beat up fish

I have a fish that suddenly stopped getting along with another fish. I removed him and placed him alone in another tank.

My question is, his tail and topfin are a little raggedy. Not torn off or destroyed, more like frayed at the edges. Do I need to medicate his water to help him recover, or just feed and allow him to heal up on his own?

He's active swimming around, eating, etc. No apparent issues. Just that he got scuffed up in the tussle.

Thanks

Keep an eye on it, there is medication...Melafix/pimafix if you think it's getting worse...(fin rot). But probably will be fine now being solo and with good water quality/diet. What fish were they?

Two yellow Tangs. I have a 180 sitting in my living room. But FED EX broke the sump I ordered from Synergy Reef, so now I am waiting on a new one. Had 2 teeny tiny yellow tangs in a 75, waiting to put them in the 180. One got a little bigger than the other I guess...and they started going at it.

Like I said, no real damage as far as I can see. Just some tattered tail and dorsal fins. I will however keep an eye out and medicate him if need be.
