Beautiful new Green BTA.... except...

... he's taken residence behind a rock!

He's back there playing poker with my maroon clown... I just wish he was in a more visible spot.

Anything I can do to get him to move??

Easiest way to get a BTA to move is to aim a power head at it. Having said that, if it's only been in your tank for a day or two and the place where it moved to is in the shade, you may want to leave it alone for a few days so it can acclimate to your lighting as it may be much stronger than it had where it came from.

i would suggest leaving it where it is. it will move eventually out of the darkness when it settles down and needs more light

I was in the same boat as you. My nem moved to a shaded area and wasn't visble. I moved the little guy, but he wasn't too happy. i say, leave him be. he will keep moving anywhere you place him.

i wish i would of left him alone at the beginning.

+1 it's probably just adjusting to the lighting. After a few days it will start reaching out towards the light and after a couple weeks at most it should become fully visible.

I figured he'd move to wherever he wants without consulting me! LOL!

Where he's at right now he gets pretty good light. I have a rock "spire" that sticks up in the middle of the tank and he's behind that. I can move the light fixture a little to shade it a bit back there, maybe that'll do something. Probably should wait a few days, though for him to get used to his new home?? I can also point one of my Koralias at him if need be...

i never seen anything like that. it looks like something from the movies. I'll be scare to target feed him, he might grab my finger and never let go.

IMO and IME............leave it where it is..............he is adjusting to the new water parameters...and light..................no matter how many times you move it.....it will not stay there unless he is happy............they like to choose there own spot.............and if you disturb it more it may get stressed..............it will find a suitable spot and finally settle down.
