Beckett Vs Downdraft

Please help me choose a new skimmer. I have been putting this off for to long and a little coralife superskimmer 220 is no where near what I need for my system setup and bioload. I have been doning alot of research over the past three months on this. I would rather not have to spend over a 1000, but aiming for the 500-600 range. I know that both these skimmer require a good strong higher watt pump, but also for that price range they the best and most trouble free skimmers without having to mod them in anyway. I aiming trying to decided bettween the my reefcreations MR or MRC -2 or 3 or ETSS 600 ot 800. My tank is a 220 with 75 gallon sump/refug.

I was not very happy with the ETSS I had on my system and chose to switch it to an ASM G4x. Downdraft skimmers depend on large pumps to perform well.

I use the CSS 220 on my 40 gallon and it does good for that tank
I also have a 225 with a 75 sump,
GEO Skimmers are good
I use a aqua c modded 240
it does need a stronger pump but mine works great

I have a used aerofoamer becket, works great!
I also have a classic 400 (aquaeuro) works great too, but they are having pump problems right now, when they get those settled it is a great skimmer (reefnut.com)
for that price range an orca skimmer or a bermuda aquatics would also work really well
