I'm pretty sure the one sally lightfoot crab I have in the 180gal will be on the clam like stink on ****. That being the case, if I create a nice little "cage" from an inverted tupperware with plenty of holes in it for some water flow and light, would that keep him from being shredded for about six weeks (assume six weeks will be the time it will take me to trap that sally lightfoot and get it into the fuge)?

six weeks is a long tie for yoru clam to go through minimal light exposure, i wodl try and get the crab out firts before adding the clam.
