Hey guys ! I'm new from keeping aquarium (3 weeks since I started mine) and I need some advice. So first of all I have a 21 gallon with 30lb of living rock, bare bottom. My water temperature is 26 Celcius and my water salinity is around 1.024. I ordered this led fixture from amazon and I will receive it tomorow :
https://www.amazon.ca/Roleadro-55x3...8&qid=1458077475&sr=8-2&keywords=led+aquarium

I want to know if that led is alright for corals ?
I already have in my tank 3 ermit crabs and 5 turbo snails with 1 coral banded shrimp. My ammonia is 0, nitrite 0 and nitrate around 2. I would like to know how many fish i could put in my tank (I was planning to put 2 clown fish). Thanks for advice and for answering my questions.
Ps. Sorry for my english mistakes my main language is french and I'm still a student :)
:wavehand:

Hi there! That LED should be fine for softies or LPS in my opinion....especially for your tank size. Keep in mind how deep your aquarium is as far as how strong the lighting needs to be. I think 2 clownfish is a great idea. In my opinion you might even be able to add a small blenny like a bi color...or a small wrasse like a fairy wrasse or six line wrasse. Hope that helps!

This light should work fine, and if you have anything in to tank already I recommend slowly increasing the light levels using the dimmer and raising the light every 3 days tell you get it where you want it. if you dont have anything in it... then wam bam let her go and find the level you like.

Three weeks is really not a long time to have had your tank cycling so my first advice would be to go slowly. You're probably not ready to add fish so just keep checking your water parameters. It's far better to give your setup a little more time than to rush into fish and then wish you could back up.
There's a great (GREAT) sticky at the top of this forum for setting up a tank. Please start reading there!!

As for lights, you really will need to determine what type of coral you want before we can help you answer this question. As mentioned above, softies are easy and will accept most lighting whereas SPS are much more demanding.

Pair of clownfish will want to control about 30 gallons of water so you are going to be limited on other fish options. A blending might work but by all means stay away from six line wrasse, they tend to get very mean.

Welcome to be hobby! Your English is more than fine, better than lots of us native speakers!
Good luck!

Welcome to the addiction. Read the stickies at the top of the forum for some great advice.
That looks to be a 'Chinese Black Box' LED fixture. They are used by many successful reefers to grow all kinds of coral. I use 10 of them over my tanks.
They are actually quite powerful and you want to be very careful with a tank your size.
Clowns are a good start. But as stated, they will rule the tank. Do some research in what other fish you might want and decide on your stocking order.
Good luck and have fun.

Ok thank you all for your answers ! I will start by growing easy (softie) so I think that the light will be fine. I will definitly increase slowly the light because I got some ''corals'' on my live rock that I really dont know what it is they are pretty small.

Can you take a picture of said corals already on your live rock? Might want to confirm they're not a pest like aptasia.

just a suggestion.. Ocean revive LEDs makes a full spectrum light fixture called the Arctic so26.. It is only $5 more than the one you posted, I use two of these over my 75g and it is capable of growing any coral.. my tank has mostly sps and these lights work fine for them great color and growth. I just figured i would put my 2 cents in just in case down the road you wanted to try harder corals you would have the right equipment to do so for only $5 more.
