i have a 90 gal with a wp40 wavemaker 30 gal sump and about 100 lbs of live rock and 100 lbs of live sand...i am wanting to get some sps but am looking for ones that would be good for a beginner...i was thinking on getting the beginner pack from live aq...any suggestions?

I would try out some montipora digitata if you're intimidated about trying out sps. They are some of the easiest to keep. Monti cap would also be about the same if you are interested in the growth form.

how old is your tank....a new tank goes through quite a bit of change in the first year that make keeping sps very difficult. But once the tank is matured, not just established, but matured, sps can be pretty easy (generally, you may not have the best or worst, but should be able to keep them with minimal effort if your setup is sufficient).

just my 2 cents...save your money til the tank matures, if it is not. If it is....seriatopora is a fairly good beginner sps in my opinion, so are digitata and undata.

As mentioned, Montipora digitata, M. capricornus and Seriatopora sp. are good first sps. Acropora yongei is another.
