Beldts no electric

I live right by them and was wondering what happened to them. I see the other shops next to them have power, anyone know what's going on??

Last I heard they do not have full power yet. They will be starting over their salt section so give it time.

If you call there number the answering machine states they will open again on Monday July 31, and they will have 20% off everything in the store Through Wednesday 8/2. My assumption is they have to get there systems in order, and replenish live stock. So maybe they are taking a few days to clean things up. I would assume it is going to take a little time to get the Saltwater section going good again.

Upon reading this, I just turned and asked the Mrs. of one of the owners that I work with and she said that progress for them has been slow and messy. Said they lost all their SW stuff and it was rather smelly. Bet the neighboring stores loved that.

I was wondering why a store would let that much get lost, why not sell it off on the cheap...i suppose in the instance of a store you would not want to sell things off cheap if the power came back on in three hours. I also suppose their insurance would cover total lost instead of a fire sale.

Anyone know what they have left that will be at 20%....

From what she's mentioned to me, their stock was covered by insurance. Still, with no power seems it would be difficult to get up and running to sell anything. Everything would have to be cash and keeping records of it would be really annoying, i would imagine.

They did it at the Collinsville Walgreens on Saturday. My wife needed a couple prescriptions she had over there. They were letting people in one by one and they had to be accompanied by an employee with a flashlight everywhere. When you got up front, they would only take cash and wrote down on a little pad of paper what was being sold.
