Belize or Cozumel?

I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be asking this question, because all my non fish-friends seem to say the same thing. But you all have a better appreciation for the way I prefer to waste my time, so here's the question:

If I'm booking a cruise, should I book it to include Cozumel or Belize City?

I want to see some awesome underwater fantasticality. That's the figure of merit I'm trying to maximize. And now I will go look at all the pretty pictures on this forum. Thanks for your thoughts!

I was just in Cozumel and the reefs are pretty decimated after the huricane. Can't comment on Belize. However I really recommend Fiji.

belize has a better reef system.

WOW , Im a AOW diver and Cozumels reefs are doing GREAT , I was just there, I think if you dive a cattleboat you wont see good reefs, they take you to the most popular sites. Cozumel is a drift dive, thats not bad at all, lets you see alot of reef but the current does move you.

I also just dove Belieze and liked it as well, alot of pristine coral, saw alot of black coral.

Carnival has a cruise,exotic western that does coz,belieze and Grand Caymon !! thats the one you want IMHO.
